My kids love to color.  Well, who doesn't love to color?  Even all of you adults out know you like to sit down every so often with a fresh box of crayons!  It's okay, you can admit it.
We had a fun-filled day planned outdoors,
but it was not meant to be.
It rained.
Instead we decided to head to the Crayola Factory!

Waiting for the presentation on how crayons are made.

While allowed, the Crayola Factory does not encourage the use of strollers.  We used the backpack for mister instead.  I'm glad we did.  We went on a day when everyone and their brother and cousin and neighbor two doors down went.  It was really crowded.  And there were a lot of strollers.  Travis was pretty content in there, so it worked out well.
The number of crayons that the factory has made since...?
(sorry, I forget the year)
No matter, still a large amount of crayons.

 Crayola creations.

This was a big screen that would pick up your movements and turn them colors..
The girls giving it a try.

 Coloring.  Of course.

They had a little play area for young children.

Rena made a sad face on her person.
She didn't know why.
Michael was the only (kid) one big enough to go into the wax melting section.  He did that with Daddy, while I took the girls by the chalk.

Then..there is another section where you can learn about canals and some history of the time period.

They got to experiment with locks and transporting cargo on their barges.

 Wash those clothes!
Michael christened his boat, the "Bovo."
 Trying out pulleys

 Steering a boat.
That was neat.
 Someone is getting sleeeeeeeepy!

 The world's largest crayon.
It was a nice day out.
A worthwhile place to visit.
Mike took a whole bunch of pictures with his phone.
I'll have to find them and see if he got anything that I missed.
