LOVE 27

Wow!  That is a really bad picture..
Anyway, Sundays.
Not only is it the Lord's Day, where we can put our day to day problems and labors (unless you're a parent of young children!) aside, it is also pretty much our only day, consistently,
to spend as a family.
I am so thankful that the Lord set aside a day of rest.
Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy!!
Pity to those who don't honor this commandment and keep going with the everyday bustle and never a rest..

LOVE 25

Breastfeeding.

I know not everyone is able to do it for a variety of reasons and there are some who don't WANT to do it..
but it is the very best thing for your baby in terms of nutrients, antibodies, bonding, and the list goes on.
Thankfully, I have not had any troubles in this area and have nursed all of the children thus far.
Sometimes it is "inconvenient"--can't wear certain clothing, eat certain foods, having to nurse in public, etc etc..
but I wouldn't have it any other way.

My babies are worth it.

LOVE 24

While I don't personally know this man, I love the way he uses Scripture to argue and make his points.
He knows his "stuff."
If you have never heard him speak, I recommend doing so.
Check out Answers in Genesis.

Coconut.

I
coconut.

Especially in or as a dessert.
Especially with a lil bit of chocolate..
or not (coconut creme pie!!!)
And coconut oil--supposed to be healthy.
Too bad a cup of the stuff is about $10.
I only exaggerate slightly.
Anyway, point is--
I. like. coconut.

LOVE 19

The freedom to worship.

So many are persecuted for their faith...

We take these things for granted.

By the way, this picture is of the sanctuary
in our new church building.

LOVE 18

The color of my bedroom walls.
It is kind of hard to tell here, but it is a mustardy-goldish-brownish color. We have red and black accent colors.  I also love the picture.  I got it from Home Interiors (along with the sconces) a few years ago.  It matches perfectly.
Doncha just wonder what is beyond that gate??

Family and Friends.

I realize that not everyone made it into the picture, but I tried to get as many in as possible.  My apologies if you're not there.

LOVE 16

Singing.
I don't have the best voice or anything like that, nor am I one to spontaneously burst out into song in front of anyone except my children..
..but I enjoy singing.
I was involved in chorus, concert choir, girl's ensemble, chorale etc. etc. from 5th grade all the way up through college.
Even did some duet/solo work, if you can believe it.
Singing in a group is a stress-reliever for me.
I like learning a part and watching er..listening to it all come together.
I miss being part of a choir.
.
.
..Maybe someday..

LOVE 15

I realize that many people have issues with facebook for various reasons, and I agree that one should be careful with anything on the internet--
however, its been a great tool in re-connecting with people I would have otherwise no contact or communication with.  When I was in direct sales, it was also a tool in gaining some work.

Most family members are also in the network, so it is an easy way to stay in touch.

(I am anti-phone.)

Yay for Facebook!

LOVE 13

"This BOOK contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers.  Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.  Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy.  It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.  It is the traveller's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, heaven opened, and the gates of hell disclosed.  Christ is its grand object, our good its design, and the glory of God its end.  It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet.  Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully.  It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure.  It is given you in life, will be opened in judgment, and be remembered forever.  It involves the highest responsibilities, will reward the greatest labour, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents."

LOVE 11

I love that my kids love to read.
I was brought up hearing that,
"if you can read, you can do anything."

I think for the most part that is true.
You can find self-help, do-it-yourself, instructions, etc. etc. on just about every subject--but what good are they if you can't read em??
I'm so glad that the kids love books and reading.
I'm looking forward to (but yet in no rush!!) when they are just a little bit older and I can share so many great books with them.

LOVE 10

My fourth.
My second son.
My soon-to-be 3 months old, big boy.
We can't really tell what his personality is going to be like yet.
But we're definitely enjoying him.
He is overall a happy baby--smiling and cooing.
He is a wiggly one!
Right now, I can say he loves to eat and sleep. :)
He also likes to "sit up" and see whats going on around him.

LOVE 9

As you can see, these are well-worn and loved.
I love the Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery.
Actually, I love all her books, the Emily of New Moon trilogy is just as good--they're timeless, classic, and for young or old.
I think I got them as a birthday gift when I was around 9 or 10.
I have read them countless times...

and will probably do so again.

LOVE 8

Sorry for the poor picture quality.  I miss my camera.
And I realized that I don't have a recent picture of Mr. Eric--so rather than just have him tiny--I used the one where he is with his brother.

All of my nieces and nephews--to date.
None on the horizon that I know of..
Ranging from age 3 years through age 6 months.
Its nice to have cousins right around the same ages.
Oh, What Fun!!

SUNSHINE!!
I love sunshine.
It makes me happy.
It is a great motivator.
While winter and snow is all part of life in this section of the world and I recognize that and thank God for the seasons, I am looking forward to warm, sunny spring days.

LOVE 6

My third.
My adventuresome, independent, sharp, little-almost-2 year old.
She is a monkey.  She is so sweet.  Kisses and hugs go together.   The funniest things come out of her mouth!   She is a peanut, very petite and has outrageously long eyelashes.  She loves to do anything her big brother and sister do, sing songs and read stories.  She loves baby dolls and thinks her baby brother is like a baby doll.  Out of all the kids, she is most Daddy's girl.

LOVE 5

My first daughter.

My extremely stubborn, temperamental 3 year old.
My princess.
She is very loving and sweet-natured..except when shes not.
Whats the saying?  When she's good she's very good..and when she is bad she is horrid!
She is always surprising us.  She has a great memory and often pays attention to little details.  She shows a propensity towards numbers/math.    She loves to pretend and do "girly" things, help Mommy, and read stories.

*Picture from our church dedication service.  Surprised that she went up with the Sunday School to sing!  Wish Daddy had fixed her skirt!! **

LOVE 4

Rich, Chocolate...
Ovaltine.
We love it.
We go through a lot of it.
(and the store down the road decided not to carry it anymore!! The nerve!)

What is breakfast without a glass of ovaltine??

More Ovaltine, Please!!

LOVE 3

(gotta do something different with all these snow days!!)

My firstborn.

My son.
My happy, easy-going 4 year old.
He loves cars and animals
and puzzles and maps
and books..playing outside and helping dad.
He has done a fantastic job in pre-k
and tested out of speech at the end of last year.
He has a wonderful imagination
and is a great big brother!

LOVE 2

Not the best picture, but I love my woodstove.
It is our ONLY source of heat this year and it does a pretty good job of keeping us nice n toasty!  I really dislike being cold and with the kiddies running around with bare feet--for some reason, socks just don't stay on their feet--its more than paid for itself in my eyes.

(I hope I don't have to mention that these pictures are in no particular order!!)

"LOVE MONTH"

My husband.
My friend.

What say you, for the month of February--"looooooove month," I'll attempt (no promises--you know how it can get) to post a picture of something or someone I love every day.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
