TIME

We all have seasons to our lives.
They are filled with various tasks and people and life events that shape us.
I know this.  You know this.
It has crossed my mind more than once lately..
this wondering..

What did I do before I had kids?

(I know that I worked three jobs right up until Michael was born and had a fairly full "social schedule" and I took vacations in the summer) I miss that, by the way.  Just being able to pack up and go.  Pretty much impossible these days between gas prices and the amount of people.  Anyway..

Then, I wonder,
What did I do when I had only One baby?
I must have had so much time on my hands!
Though, I know that I was working part-time still as well as being wife and mommy.

How about with Two and Three?
Still worked part time with two, plus doing my own direct sales business up until number Four came around..

Four kids?
Not so bad.

Now, I think..

WHAT DID I (WE)  DO WITH MYSELF BEFORE WE STARTED HOMESCHOOLING?!!!

I must have had so much time!
LOL

FUTURE BALLERINA

Last week, we let Rian have a try at "ballerina school."
I wanted to see if she would be able to be enrolled in the same class as Carina in the Fall or if the teacher really thought she had to be in a younger class.
I wanted to get in a trial class before they started practicing for the upcoming recital.

She was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (understatement) excited!!

Missy did a great job!
According to the instructor, she jumped right in and kept up with the older girls and even wanted to do more!

Whew!  I'm glad..I was not looking forward to having to travel there 2x a week or the other option of staying for back-to-back classes!

Two ballerinas,
coming right up!

BECAUSE WE CAN

Going to the park in March?!
Absolutely!
I'll take it.

We met our friends at a park that was halfway between us and had a grand time playing together!

The park in enclosed by fence, which is great and it also has two sections--one for the "big" kids and one for the "little" kids.  Nothing worse than going to a park only to have the little ones run over by a group of big kids!

Tia and Rian really hit it off
while Carina decided to run with the boys.

This is the only picture I have of the big kids..
Yep, their backs.
They were too busy playing and running all around.

A snack before we headed home..

We are loving this weather and spending lots of time outdoors..
Lets hope it lasts..it is still March, after all.

HAPPY DAY!

On Mike's actual birthday, we had a fairly relaxed day.
It started out with birthday hugs...

Opening presents from the party the night before..

Ha Ha!!

Then after I ran a couple of errands...(solo!!)
we headed out because it was much too nice to stay indoors.

It was really windy.
If I had known how chilly the wind was going to be, we would have dressed just a tad warmer.

The biggest kid on the swings.

We found out that Michael has his first loose tooth!!

Wow!

Snack time!

Little Mister copying his big sister..

Miss Bean:  our teacher in training.

It was a nice day.

TURNING 30

After the 50th birthday party, came hubby's 30th birthday party.
Surprise birthday party.
I think I managed to pull off the surprise.
. . . . . .

We held it at the firehouse.
It was an all day process of cooking and setting up,
since nothing could be done ahead of time.

Thankfully, he didn't decide to stay home that day!
But he did throw a bit of a snag into things when he called me at 5pm saying he was on his way home!  The party wasn't supposed to start until 7:30pm!
It all worked out though.

Here are a few pictures before hand.
I really did not get any pictures during because I was too busy taking care of kids, changing food trays etc.  So, if anyone has any pictures from the party that they would like to share with me, I would appreciate it!

This was one HUGE cake.
(orange is Mike's favorite color)

I'm so glad his twin, Bill, was able to make it up for the party.
There were 60 candles on the cake, 30 for each of them.

The "lucky" ones that got their picture taken!
That is because I sat at this table with the kiddies!

A sort-of room shot.
We had a good turn out..probably 100 or so people.
Thank you to everyone who came, helped set up, brought food/drinks to contribute, and clean up!
I hope everyone had a nice time.
It was great to see you all.

Special Thanks to Sherilyn & Mom, Pat @ the Firehouse, Jess @ the Firehouse for getting me the relevant information, Lauren @ LandRover for the behind the scenes work. You all made it run a bit more smoothly. Thanks!

My dearest, I hope you had a "surprisingly wonderful" birthday party!
Happy 30th!
