A friend and I made plans to meet up for a late afternoon hike and picnic dinner recently.
We agreed to meet somewhere in the middle.
It was a nightmare to get to due to road closures and bad direction. I was ready to give up and go home but we finally (!!) arrived and it was all worth it.
The park is beautiful!
We took a short hike, along the stream for a bit.
I believe there are longer trails in the park, but with little legs, this length was perfect.

They had fun exploring the little area.
This guy liked throwing rocks into the water.
After our dinner, the little kids played on the playground while the big kids explored in the water.
