PRE-BRIDE WEDDING MORNING

April 24th at approximately 7:30am
(that is when I arrived..Sherilyn was a wee bit earlier as you can see)
Wedding Morning for Joanna's bridal party began.

I would say wedding morning for Joanna and Curtis began..but really,
that is not a true statement.
Yes, it was their wedding morning.
However, Joanna had not yet arrived at the VanVugts
(which is where everyone got ready)
and seriously, what do the groom and groomsmen really do all morning to prep??
Sleep?  Eat?
Sit around and relax?

Anyway, onward.

Beth was first in the hot seat.

Lauren and Barb getting some breakfast ready and such..

My job on wedding mornings is usually "makeup artist"
along with any other odd jobs the girls need done or
any curling or spraying that Sherilyn needs done..

The color palate
(did I spell that correctly?)

I was not there for the trial run,
so here are the notes I got..

Lydia is next in the hot seat..

Or should I say, the COLD seat?!!
Due to the amount of hairspray used
not to mention David's allergy--
we opened the door right behind the chair where the girls got their hair done..
and there was a chilly breeze coming in..

 Love that look, Lyd!!

Beth applying Martha's foundation..

Time to focus on the nails..
We found out that Tasmania does not have Cheez-Its or Butterfingers..
So Martha stocked up and brought her stash of snack foods to share.
:)

It's coming along!

So Pretty...
..
NEXT!!!

Esther's turn.
She and Sherilyn had some communication issues..
It was pretty funny.
Sherilyn would say, "head down" and Esther would put her head up...etc.
and I'm pretty sure it was not intentional.
:)

Martha's turn for nails.
and thumbs.  ;)

Martha has quite a lot of hair..
so she was last to get her hair styled prior to the bride.

The VanVugts laid out a very nice breakfast spread.

 Thank you.

Getting there..

Lydia was the woman of the hour..
Multi-tasking.
Guess it makes sense when she was the maid-of-honor
and the only one with a cell phone!

Finishing up on Esther..

Pretty, pretty..

and we're on to Martha..
Martha (and her husband) are expecting come August, Lord willing,
their second baby..
She has the cutest little baby bump..

And it begins!

Olive was the flower girl...
Bill Tanis was videographer, I gather.
(Wish we had the video from our wedding)

Finishing touches..

Looking good!!!

Unfortunately, I did not get many pictures of Olive's process..
because I was trying to distract her so she would sit still!!
:)

And that is that.
More to come in the near future.
I just have too many pictures to put in one post.
Next stop--
Bride arrives.

Stay tuned.
