ANNUAL FUN TRIP

We took our annual end of the year field trip to the Land of Make Believe with co-op this past week.
AND.. Daddy was able to come too!!

We had some beautiful weather for it!
The boys had all their hair shaved off for the summer, and unfortunately one cloudy day we did not put sunscreen on and they ended up getting burned--hence the bandanas.  The girls just wanted to match.

It was flag day, so these two were dressed appropriately.

Spiderman there was especially excited to go on everything!

After lunch, we went over to the water park side--the lazy river and the pirates cove part weren't open which was stinky, but even though the water was FREEZING (!!) I think everyone had fun.

Obviously, neither of us had our phones with to take pictures.  Maybe next year.

Welcome Summer!!

THE STORM

Both girls played softball this year--on the same team which made my life much easier.
Some pre-season practice before the weather was nice enough to be outside.

This year was very different as they moved up to Junior level not ponytails.
The girls were able to pitch and they actually had umpires and did strikes and all that stuff.

I think it was a great learning experience this year and they both had a great time.

This picture was missing one coach, but overall great coaches and nice group of girls.

Until next season!

THE BOYS

We'd like to introduce you to our new boys!

Brothers--Mooney and Padfoot.

They are brand-new to us, so I haven't been able to get too many good pictures yet.
Padfoot is still a bit skittish and doesn't like to stay still.

The kids--3 in particular--are just over the top excited to have them!

I'm sure you'll be seeing more of them in the near future.

Bubs lost his first tooth!  Super exciting!

DANCE/ BIRTHDAY

Due to the craziness of the schedules this year, Missy had a couple of different birthday celebrations.
We figured we would "kill two birds with one stone" and invited those that could make it to the end of the year dance recital.

Missy danced to "Better When I'm Dancing"

Image may contain: 11 people, including Mike Rose, people smiling, people standing

Bean danced to "Blackbird"

It was a wee bit sunny out.

Afterwards we sang and had some birthday brownies.

The next celebration was the following week with the other half of the crew.

Here's to 9!

THERE WAS A WARNING

I did warn you that this was going to be a really busy year for us.
It was.  It is.

Co-ops are done for the summer now though and I can take a breath, pace things a bit slower, and hopefully get on here a bit more than I have in the past six months or so.
I'm not even going to try to catch up with everything--but I will try to hit some of the highlights of the past few months.  So, do try to bear with me.  I like to look back and the kids also enjoy looking back at our past events via this means.

So, without further ado, here are the end of co-op pics from Thursdays.

We do a "celebration of learning" which is fairly low-key after the last day of classes. Whoever wishes to comes back in the evening for a catered dinner, dessert, and certificates for those moving up a grade.  We also do a small ceremony for the graduating kindergarteners.  I have helped with that for the past two years.  They sing a song, wear a cap and gown and such.  Its cute.  There is also an opportunity for any teacher in the co-op to display classwork from the year, so parents can walk around and see it.

With that, we called it a wrap!
