HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY, CARINA!

Yesterday, Carina turned 2 years old.

Birthday morning.

Later on, getting ready for the "party."

Michael was helping bring balloons in.

Opening presents. She was a lil bashful to begin, and did not want to open presents by herself.

If you haven't guessed it already, Carina really likes Dora.

This doll, from Grandma & Grandpa, was the hit for the night.

Time for cake, Dora had to come too. They were up past bedtime, it shows on her face.

Carina did not want to blow out her candle..so Michael gave her a lil help...with Dora looking on.

Yummy cake. The morning after. I asked her to smile. :)

A VISIT WITH ZACHARY

Tuesday evening, Mike and I went for a quick visit to the hospital. Esther and Zachary were able to go home on Wednesday.

The tests came back okay, thankfully.

As you can kind of see, he was still hooked up to an IV at this point.

LEAVES, LEAVES, LEAVES

I must say, we have an excess of fall foliage on the ground. I guess that would come from living in the "woods." ;P

The kids and I raked leaves a couple of times...again, those pictures are stuck on my phone. Maybe someday, I'll be able to retrieve them. But the day after we raked, one could look out the window and see no noticeable difference.

Saturday, Mike took a leaf blower to them.

The yard looks much better.

This is an older picture, but notice the lack of hood over the stove. It has been like that for over a year.

But, no more!! Mike was able to purchase one on clearance the other day--it looks sooo much better!

ZACHARY THOMAS

Zachary Thomas was born yesterday, 11/9/09, at 1:50am. He weighed in at 6lb2oz. He is a month early.

Due to the H1N1 issues, Eric has yet to meet his little brother. In fact, if you weren't aware, they are not letting anyone under 18 in the hospital to visit.

Surprise!

His breathing is a bit labored, so he has been hooked up to a machine in the nursery.

He will be undergoing some tests today.

Keep them in your prayers.

WELCOME!!!

Just got word, we have a new nephew & Eric has a little brother!!! Zachary Thomas was born around 1am this morning (one month early!). Don't know all the details, and obviously I don't have pictures yet...but stay tuned!

It is now roughly 12 hours later--here is one picture. More to follow. Not tonight though.
