GRADUATION

 

June 1, 2024 MJ had his high school graduation ceremony.

We joined the NJCH group in the beginning of the school year. 

This group focuses specifically on seniors and putting on a graduation ceremony.

Parents and students got together throughout the entire school year, pretty much monthly, to plan.

The group was really nice in the fact that it really tried to foster relationships between the seniors with various activities and outings.

Our ceremony was held at a church in Netcong.

There were 17 graduates

Some special music by 3 graduates

Pictures were not encouraged during the ceremony, so I really don't have too many.

There were a couple of speakers and a slide show for each student with a recorded "blessing" from the parents for their student.  It was special.  Parents presented the graduates with their diplomas.

Both of these guys broke guitar strings prior to the ceremony!  

Whoops!  Thankfully they were fixed before the special music.

After the ceremony there was a reception with some light refreshments and photo opportunities.

Finally, we went out for dinner with both sets of grandparents to celebrate.

It was definitely a memorable day.
