PAINTING

On our very last co-op day, one of the moms brought face paint!

Have I told you how much we really enjoyed our co-op this past year?
As much as I was hesitant about it, it has been really nice.  The year round activities for not only kids, but moms as well--and the ability to schedule your classes to tailor your schedule.  The kids all enjoyed it and looked forward to it and it is a really, really great group of moms (and a couple dads).  We are moving to a larger facility for the next school year, bonus is that it is a few minutes closer!  Bummer is that there is no playground at the new place.  Anyway, we are looking forward to our next year's co-op.

FIELD DAY

Another fun, end of the year activity was Field Day!
All the kids were broken up into teams and it was the Reds vs. the Greens.
Well, actually it was Marvel vs. D.C.

Marvel won.

The boys.

The teams were then broken down by age/grade and there were six or seven stations that each team rotated through.  I was leading around the little guys, so I didn't get many pictures.

Bubba vs. Boogie

This was Bean and her friend.

MJ with his group.

After all the stations were rotated through, Mr.G decided to play in the sand before lunch.

Water balloons, obstacle course, bean bag toss, hula hoop tic tac toe and more--another great day with
friends!

END OF THE YEAR FESTIVITIES

Sometimes there are deals that you just CANNOT pass up.
Like the end of the year co-op trip to the local amusement/water park that is discounted more than 50%.
So, we went!
It was such a nice day!  The park was not open to the public yet and so it was only schools and such there.  The weather was beautiful and after a few of the kids got over their initial rejection of the rides--everyone (of the proper height) went on the rides!

These next two pictures I can take no credit for.

I was able to take G on one or two rides, but he wasn't a fan.
Maybe if we go next year.

After all the rides we could do in the "dry" side before lunch, we headed to the water side.
There, I took no pictures.

EVERYONE had a blast though.
Even though the water was pretty VERY chilly.
The big kids did all the water slides and lazy river and the little kids hung out in the wading pool and hit up the kiddie slides.
We had some tired kids at the end of the day!

Overall, I'd say the day was a success.

HOT SHOT

MJ has been a part of this 4H club now for almost a year.

This was from his second competition.
He did pretty well in his team.
The team itself didn't place, but they had a good time.
He also did his personal best in 3-D archery.

I think he prefers bow to the gun at this point.

Back in the winter he also gave his first public presentation.
While visibly nervous, he did an awesome job!

And has a blue ribbon to prove it!

Keep up the good work!

BIRTHDAY DATE

We decided to start a new tradition of having a special date with Daddy on each person's birthday.

Missy has the first birthday of the year and so she got the first outing.

She chose to go ice skating and out for ice cream.

It was her first time ice skating and I think it was a success!

Can't forget the ice cream!

We hope you had a lovely 7th birthday, Missy!

SOFTBALL

This year has brought a lot of changes.
Some good, some not so good.

Anyway, MJ and Bean decided that they didn't want to do softball or baseball this season.
I didn't argue, but I asked them both at least 50 times if they were sure (of course, Bean changed her mind, but it was too late already).  So, we had Missy in a ponytail league.
She is very much enjoying softball and the season is coming to a close in a few short weeks.

I must say, I don't miss having to juggle time between three different teams!

PRINCESSES IN TRAINING

We are still here.
I think this has been the longest break to date and I cannot promise to be consistent at this point in time.  However, here are some recent pictures from the park on a beautiful, sunshiny day!

Our princesses.
