DANCE/ BIRTHDAY

Due to the craziness of the schedules this year, Missy had a couple of different birthday celebrations.
We figured we would "kill two birds with one stone" and invited those that could make it to the end of the year dance recital.

Missy danced to "Better When I'm Dancing"

Bean danced to "Blackbird"

It was a wee bit sunny out.

Afterwards we sang and had some birthday brownies.

The next celebration was the following week with the other half of the crew.

Here's to 9!

THERE WAS A WARNING

I did warn you that this was going to be a really busy year for us.
It was.  It is.

Co-ops are done for the summer now though and I can take a breath, pace things a bit slower, and hopefully get on here a bit more than I have in the past six months or so.
I'm not even going to try to catch up with everything--but I will try to hit some of the highlights of the past few months.  So, do try to bear with me.  I like to look back and the kids also enjoy looking back at our past events via this means.

So, without further ado, here are the end of co-op pics from Thursdays.

We do a "celebration of learning" which is fairly low-key after the last day of classes. Whoever wishes to comes back in the evening for a catered dinner, dessert, and certificates for those moving up a grade.  We also do a small ceremony for the graduating kindergarteners.  I have helped with that for the past two years.  They sing a song, wear a cap and gown and such.  Its cute.  There is also an opportunity for any teacher in the co-op to display classwork from the year, so parents can walk around and see it.

With that, we called it a wrap!

BIRTHDAY 2018

Missy has entered her last year in single digits.
We started out the day with a haircut!

Later on, after Dad got home we did presents and cake.

She asked for a rubber chicken... *shrug*

Happy Birthday to you!!

SURPRISE!!

In early December, we surprised the kids with an overnight trip to Great Wolf Lodge!
I had booked it with a homeschool group (think super discounts) several months prior. I tried to get everything packed up while they were in bed and put stuff in the car the night before.  They did know the next morning that we were going somewhere, but had no idea where until we pulled into the driveway!

LONG OVERDUE BIRTHDAY

We celebrated another birthday at the end of November when Boogie turned 7.

He had specifically asked for an ice cream cake shaped like a football...

His actual birthday fell on Thanksgiving this past year, so we did cake the following day (with his permission) because everyone was too full that evening.

Hope you had a happy birthday!

We had a Christian group of clowns come to co-op one day to visit various classes.
Here the pre-Kers watch some balloon demonstrations.

PARTY TIME

Our November birthdays were held at church this year again.
It is a convenient location with plenty of space for a crowd.
We celebrated 10, 7, 5 and 3!

The party was themed for the 5 year old with puppies and loosely, paw patrol.
I don't think the pictures are in order but they are here at least.
