PARTY PICTURES

Birthday party (5/1) morning..
Poor Michael has severe seasonal allergies..
you can see his eyes are a little puffy here..
it got much, much worse later on.

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for an outdoor party..

Opening presents with Daddy..

Headband made by Aunt Sheri

The helpers carrying presents over to the birthday girl

The weather was predicted to be hot
(which it was)
so we went to set up our kiddie pool that morning
to let the water sit and warm up..
well, something chewed a hole in it.
So that didn't work.

I ended up calling Sherilyn to see if she could pick one up on her way..
Its just a tad larger than the one we had!
Works for me!!

Our lil firepit..
helped keep bugs away

The kids enjoyed the (icy) water..
We didn't fill it all the way--
water was too cold and we also need to level the ground

Estrella fell down, face first, which is why she is crying here.
She really did like it though.

Time for cupcakes

That was fine with Rian!

As you can see by the next several pictures,
she really enjoyed her cupcake.

A couple of games of volleyball, of course.
Don't know if the horseshoes were put to use this time.

The kids attempting to roast some marshmallows.
It didn't work too well...
either they hit them on the ashes or held them up too high.
:)

Birthday Girl..

At 19 pounds..
she is a peanut.

She is taking more and more steps everyday..
pretty soon she'll be running around the house after Michael and Carina.
She is also adding more words to her vocabulary every day it seems:
yes, uh-oh, amen..

We're thankful to have you.
Happy Birthday
&
many more.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, RIAN!!

Last week Sunday, Rian turned one year old.

Opening a present from Opoe.

Later we celebrated with a brownie.

Party pictures to come.

ANOTHER PROJECT

This is currently how the side of our house looks..
the dining room.
It is plexi-glass in the winter..
inter-dispersed with screens in the summer.

It is not insulated and so gets extremely cold in the winter
(and last week when it was still quite chilly)

We got this off of Craigslist...(yay!)
so hopefully before winter we can get this room taken care of.
Looking (and feeling) the way we would like it to be.

It is huge...and very heavy!!

Another project.
They are neverending...

KITTENS

Nola had her kittens last week...
We saw her (pregnant) Sunday night...
and didn't find her till Wednesday.
So sometime between Sunday and Wednesday they were born.

We found her in one of the neighbor's trucks..
with two kittens.
I don't know if she had them somewhere else and moved them there..
or if she actually delivered in the truck..

Anyway, two little tiger striped girls..
(they are both spoken for, by the way)

They seem to be doing well.

And Nola seems to be doing a great job as a mom.

I'll get some better pictures soon.

1+1=2, 2+3=5, 5+1=6

Our announcement.

More info to follow.
